Thank you for visiting our site. We are excited about being able to serve our community.We strive to provide our young athletes with a premier youth sports experience. The primary objective of the Junior Thunderbirds is to inspire youth with our core values, regardless of race, color or creed; which are:

  • Build healthy minds and bodies;
  • Develop skill and proficiency in sports and related activities;
  • Teach the concepts of teamwork, sportsmanship (in victory and defeat), loyalty, honesty and pride;
  • Stimulate community interest in sports;
  • Teach discipline,
  • Teach self-control
  • Teach respect to oneself as well as teammates, coaches, family and community.

It is a known fact that the presence of youth sports provides youth with alternatives to negative behavior, promotes positive social and moral development, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for the youth and the communities they are a part of. We intend to help foster programs for youth by offering a broad array of sports while training our volunteers and personnel to develop our youth through instruction. Our aim is to foster good competition while equipping our youth with effective leadership skills, teaching responsibility and independence.

Presently we provide several youth products in the North East San Antonio area such as football, recreational basketball, select basketball and track & field. Feel free to browse our site and contact us about our program.
