The
2008 season is here and the entire Jr. Thunderbirds
board would like to welcome you to what should be
a great year.
We want to take this opportunity to remind you about
the important dates coming up and to answers many
of those commonly asked questions.
Please feel free to contact any board member at
any time before or during the season if you have
any questions or concerns.
Mighty
Mites & Mascots
The
Jr. Thunderbirds will be offering a mighty mite
age group for ages 3-4 yrs for those parents that
want their youth to become future thunderbirds and
have fun on game day. The games will last approximately
15 to 30 minutes before the start our home flag
games and will not be competitive; additionally
we still have positions for Mascots.
Paperwork

Thursday, August 7th 6-8pm
Please
remember that we cannot let any child take the field
without having all of their paperwork which is as
follows:

Football Equipment Sizing
As of JULY 19th we will bee sizing for football
equipment please be sure to bring your child ASAP
to have this done Saturdays from 12PM-4PM @ at
Peter Piper Pizza on 5723 N. FOSTER ROAD, SUITE
101 SAN ANTONIO, TX 78244. Cheer Sizing will take
place during our Equipment hand out fundraiser

Practice
Practice Begins Monday, July 28th at 5:45pm!
From
July 28th until Labor Day weekend, football players
and cheerleaders practice at Metzger Middle
School 7475 Binz Engleman RD. San Antonio, TX
78244 once daylight savings begins we
will move to Kirby Friendship Park 5631
Binz Engleman Road San Antonio, TX 78219.
Practices
run Monday through Friday from approximately 6:00-8:00pm
for the first 2 weeks of conditioning.
Beginning
August 11th, practices are held 3 days per week
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays but may vary per
team.
Football
players are required to complete 2 weeks conditioning
before practicing in full pads and participating
in full contact drills. Football players should
wear shorts and a t-shirt along with football
cleats.
