Thank you for visiting our site. We are excited about being able to serve our community.We strive to provide our young athletes with a premier football experience.

The TYFA league is a fiercely competitive league. Most players in this league move on to have very successful high school football careers. For this reason it is highly recommended for players who are aspiring to play football on the next level.

Remember you are allowed to register at any time online or sending your application and commitment fees to our post office box.

TYFA Certification

Our date for TYFA FOOTBALL certification is August 29 & 30th 2009 @ Judson High school Red Campus. It is important that all parents remember to be on time and have your birth certificates turned in before then in order for the process to run smoothly. in addition you will need $5 per child for this certification. We will collect this fee prior to certification. Cheer certification details will be located on the Cheerleading page.

Welcome Back!

The 2009 season is here and the entire Jr. Thunderbirds board would like to welcome you to what should be a great year.
We want to take this opportunity to remind you about the important dates coming up and to answers many of those commonly asked questions.


Please feel free to contact any board member at any time before or during the season if you have any questions or concerns.

Paperwork Please remember that we cannot let any child take the field without having all of their paperwork which is as follows:

1. Organization Registration form
2. TYFA Registration form
3. Emergency Contact
4. Medical Release Form
5. Birth Certificate
6. Uniform Ordering Form

BE PREPARED FOR THE SEASON
  • Drink, Drink, Drink – Drink plenty of Fluids in the Keep in Shape
  • You will run a lot at practice.
    Begin running weeks leading up to practice.
  • Avoid high sugar drinks and stay hydrated.
  • Start running now to get ready.
  • Don’t Eat Large Meals Before Practice

 

T-Bird Registration

Beginning Saturday may 16, 2009, We will be registering every Saturday from 12PM-4PM at Peter Piper Pizza on 5723 N. FOSTER ROAD, SUITE 101 SAN ANTONIO, TX 78244 until teams are full. Registration fees are:

$55 FLAG

$75 TACKLE/CHEER

Equipment & Uniform Sizing

We will be sizing for football equipment & uniforms during registration at which time you can purchase equipment and order uniform. Please be sure to bring your child in order to ensure proper fit, every Saturday from 12PM-4PM at Peter Piper Pizza on 5723 N. FOSTER ROAD, SUITE 101 SAN ANTONIO, TX 78244 beginning May 16, 2009.

Practice

Practice Begins Monday, August 3rd at 6:00pm!

Location TBA

Practices run Monday through Friday from approximately 6:00-8:00pm for the first 2 weeks of conditioning.

Beginning August 11th, practices are held 4 days per week Tuesdays, Wednesdays,Thursdays and Fridays.
